George is chairman of the board of directors of Nysa EB-5’s parent company, Nysa Capital LLC. Over the course of his career, he has spent time in both the public and private sectors and currently serves as president of Secure Mountain. George was the United States’ first undersecretary of preparedness at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Most recently, he was the first undersecretary at DHS for the national protection programs. In these roles, he led a comprehensive effort to harmonize the country’s preparedness toward integrated capabilities for prevention, protection and response. George also has worked closely with a wide range of state and local elected officials and leading chief executive officers to focus on risk management and reduction in securing the nation’s homeland. (The EB-5 Program is administered by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, an agency of DHS.) Prior to DHS, George had extensive experience in homeland security, emergency response and preparedness. He served as homeland security advisor, a cabinet-level position, during the administration of Governor Mark Warner of the commonwealth of Virginia overseeing commonwealth preparedness. In this capacity, George acted as chief liaison with the White House, the military, Congress, other local governments and the private sector. He also chaired the Secure Commonwealth Panel and led the governor’s initiative responsible for strengthening Virginia’s security and preparedness for emergencies and disasters of all kinds, including terrorism. He serves as a director of Rivada Networks, LLC; is a member of the strategic advisory group at Durango Group, LLC and is a member of the advisory board at TeraDact Solutions, Inc.
