George joined Nysa Capital, Nysa EB-5’s parent company, in 2014 as executive vice president of global markets and government relations. In this role, he manages Nysa EB-5’s global foreign direct-investment strategy in addition to overseeing the firm’s governmental relationships. George has developed strong investment partnerships internationally and has established a physical presence in China, Southeast Asia, India and Latin America to support these strategic partners.
George’s international fundraising activities are focused primarily on U.S. commercial real estate projects. Chief among these efforts, he is spearheading an initiative to procure $2.5 billion of equity investment for the GreenTrust Partners Sun Belt Growth Fund, an ESG-oriented $10 billion U.S. commercial real estate fund. He also oversees the firm’s EB-5 foreign investment program where he has successfully secured investments from EB-5 investors across 13 countries to date, including Saudi Arabia.
George graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in industrial management and has had a broad range of business experience over the course of his professional career. He worked for more than seven years at The Rocker Group, a firm specializing in structured financing, bridge lending and mezzanine lending at both a private and public institutional level. George’s diverse background includes extensive experience working and traveling abroad; he lived and worked in China for two years.
As head of Nysa EB-5 government relations, George coordinates numerous public-private partnership programs. He also serves on several EB-5-related committees, including the EB-5 Investment Coalition, a policy-making group based in Washington, D.C. that worked arduously to influence the new EB-5 legislation. In addition, he serves on several committees with Invest In The USA (IIUSA), the trade association for the EB-5 Regional Center Program. He is frequently selected to participate on panels for his expertise in legislative and government EB-5 policy. George is actively involved with the EB-5 lobby group in D.C. and regularly attends congressional hearings on EB-5 and other immigration-related committee hearings.
